Prototype and Test
Whether it is from end user feedback or technical performance testing the earlier a product concept can be realised as a model or prototype the more that can be learned. Our in-house manufacturing capability provides the development team with valuable and prompt insights and helps build upon [IP] knowledge.
Product development support
Proof of principle (POP) rigs of sub-assemblies allows impact testing, failure mode and life-cycle analysis and environmental testing at extremes of temperature and humidity.
Visual models help support research, test user interfaces and validate use. Fully functional prototypes confirm design intent.
Turning the subjective into engineering specification
Using physical models our development team can turn the subjective reactions of users - e.g. to the sound, feel and force of a car door being closed – into electronic data that can then be used for technical specification.
Ergonomic support
Ergonomic criteria such as comfort, tactility and ease of use are often best perfected by hand modeling. Reverse engineering tools convert these physical forms into electronic data.
Validation and verification
Prototypes made from production-ready CAD data in representative materials and finishes verify the performance and compliance of designs before costly investment in tooling.
