Process
Risk-managed device development at PDD is built on a flexible, rapid process combining skills in behavioural psychology, interaction design, ergonomics and industrial design through to mechanical and electronic engineering.
Our human sciences division defines the critical relationship between people, products and the environments of use, potential hazards are uncovered and risk is mitigated in the design process. These potential hazards often become opportunities for the design and engineering team to innovate, generate IP and create key differentiation in the crowded market.
Interaction design experience plays a key role in the development of intuitive and safe products in an increasingly litigious society. PDD advanced engineering, simulation and prototyping skills support the crucial Verification and Validation activities required for evidence based device development and effective regulatory submission.
