23 June 2008: Red Dot Design Award Ceremony
PDD has added another prestigious award to its collection. The creative identity of Aqualisa's Quartz Electric, a revolutionary electric shower, was solely developed by PDD and has been recognised for its high quality design with a red dot award within the product design category from Germany's Design Zentrum.
Simon Browning, Head of Trends and Consumer, will be attending the glittering 'red dot award: product design' awards ceremony on 23rd June in the distinguished and stylish surroundings of the Essen opera house in Germany.

17-19 June 2008: Interior Motives Europe Conference 2008
The Interior Motives Europe design conference is the most important forum for senior management in the automotive design community - a global debate to discuss the latest challenges and technologies affecting interior design.

14 May 2008: The Innovation Conference 2008 in association with Cranfield University School of Management and Findlay Publications
Woodland Grange Conference Centre, Leamington Spa Paul Pankhurst, PDD's Chairman, will be speaking at the one day Innovation Conference on the topic of innovation within product development strategies and how it can deliver competitive advantage.

14 May 2008: Safety and Heath Expo, NEC
Graham Lacy, Development Director at PDD, and Emily Miller, Marketing Manager, will be attending the Safety & Health Expo on 14 May at the NEC in Birmingham. The Expo is Europe's leading annual safety and health event. Please let us know if you would like to set up an appointment with PDD while visiting or exhibiting at the Expo. 12 May 2008: PDD Cycles over 18 London Bridges for Charity
A PDD team took part in the Stroke Association’s Thames Bridges Bike Ride on May 11—we went over 18 bridges and rode 33 miles (plus one extra mile and one extra bridge to get to the pub afterwards!). The weather was amazing and we had a great time. We raised over £770 for the Stroke Association by taking part.
Many thanks to Ian Parker for organising the team. Those that took part were Ian Parker, Stuart Pallant, Oliver Stokes, Julian Swan, Paul Borkowski, Alex Bygrave, Paul Scrase, Emily Miller, Peter Sprada, Barry Lillis and Dan Kayser.
23 April 2008: Creative Business Lecture Series
Paul Pankhurst, PDD’s Chairman, will be speaking to students participating in the Masters course in Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) run jointly by the Royal College of Art (RCA) and Imperial College. In response to the changing commercial landscape the course strives to be adaptive by continually developing the course material to meet the needs of the design and creative industries and create a unique environment which promotes innovation and entrepreneurship. The course has a proven track record for innovation and a strong reputation for its teaching programme in both the academic and investment communities.
21-23 April 2008: Interior Motives China conference 2008
The Interior Motives China conference will be held in Beijing. It is the only automotive design conference in the world where East meets West. Simon Browning, PDD's Head of Industrial Design, has been asked to speak on April 23rd during session 5 on 'Research Methods within the Automotive Sector.'
